Local NASA scientist hosting lectures on space exploration, Apollo Space Program
BLAIR COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — One local man spent most of his life working with NASA and preparing America to explore the final frontier of outer space.
He currently spends his time talking to others to give them an understanding of what he did for the Apollo Space Program, and his role in a "historic event."
Francis Donald Freeburn spoke with 6 News about how he became interested in aerospace engineering and where that interest took him.

- He will be at the Patton Public Library on Thursday evening at 6 p.m.
- On Saturday, March 23rd, at 1 p.m., he will be at the Portage Public Library.
- You can also see him at the Altoona Public Library on March 25th at 6 p.m.
- And on March 30th at the Cambria County Library in Johnstown.
