PennDOT site gives drivers road conditions, plow locations

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Motorists who must drive in winter weather can check www.511PA.com for current road conditions.

According to PennDOT, 511PA is free and available 24 hours a day. It provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 860 traffic cameras.

PennDOT said drivers can check the conditions and snow-plow locations of more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions on 2,900 miles of roadways.

511PA is also available through an app on your smartphone or by calling 511.
